CHASSIS LUB: OIL PUMPS.
BENTLEY - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/KV.10.1.34.

We have been looking over the report made by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mr.Hancock on the relative efficiency of the Luvax-Bijur oil pump compared with the R.R. manufactured pump.

Apart from the efficiency of the Luvax pump which the report claims is higher than the one we make, G.W.R. confirms our expressed opinion of several occasions that the R.R. pump is an expensive design of unit to manufacture and in addition is now claimed to be more difficult to maintain in service.

Our purpose in bringing this matter forward again is that no move has been made, so far as we know, either to modify the R.R. design or to standardise the Luvax pump for 20/25-HP. and 40/50-HP. production.
