To GWL. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}

We thank you for your reports.

We note what you say about the radiator and the fact that the car is not adequately cool at high speeds.

We suggest that you eliminate the filter, as it is obviously no good, and see if the cooling of the car improves. You will recollect that last year when you took me to Orleans on 21-EX, we ran for mile after mile all out at atmospheric temperatures of about 28°C, under those conditions the car did not over-heat.

The only difference between 21-EX and the car you are now running is that the latter has wider gaps between the radiator tubes. Our tests show that this should not make a difference of more than about 2° at high speeds, and no difference at low speeds.

We are therefore anxious that you should find out as much as you can about the trouble, and if the car continues to over-heat without the filter.

We wonder whether some chemical action may be taking place between the galvanized cylinder block and the aluminium, causing the radiator to choke up. We are analysing the deposit which you sent us.

With regard to your axle leak. What we are most
