Oy4-W-21922 September 21, 1922. Mr. Claude Johnson, Rolls-Royce, Limited, London, England. Copy for Mr. Royce, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} P. Re Mack Rubber Shock Absorber Dear Sir: [Red stamp over text: COPY] We enclose folders referring to the Mack rubber shackles. The makers are the biggest manufacturers of trucks, buses, and rail motor cars in the country, and the device therefore is of great interest. It is being very widely tried out, notably by the Fifth Avenue Coach Company of New York. It appears to be a logical method of eliminating shackle bolts. Yours truly, ROLLS ROYCE OF AMERICA, Inc.
