X-2512 RE MANUFACTURE OF CONDENSERS. -------------------------------------- The room in use for condenser manufacture is becoming more and more unsuitable in view of the electrical testing carried on for lack of accommodation in the same room. As we wish to develop our experience with the object of ultimately making all our own condensers, we should attempt to find a room which can be kept for no other purpose than condenser work. I would suggest we require the following conditions; (1) A room remote from any grinding, turning or buffing depts. (2) Steam heated to ensure dryness of atmosphere in room even under abnormally humid open air conditions. (3) Floors should be hard wood block closely laid, or wood covered with linoleum. (4) Ceiling should be stained boards or painted plaster, no whitewash. (5) Fewest possible fixtures to facilitate keeping premises clean. (6) An electrical vacuum cleaner to be used every day to thoroughly remove dust before starting work. (7) A place to hang coats etc, separate from workroom. (8) Floor area required at present, about 1000 sq.feet. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
