(Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}3/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 1139. 3rd November, 1938. Messrs. Simmonds Aerocessories Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford, LONDON. (For the attention of Mr. Llewellyn). Dear Sirs, We thank you for the letter received from Mr. Wilson on the 25th October regarding Fram oil filters. As arranged with Messrs. Wilson & Wheatcroft, we are forwarding under separate cover samples of oil as cleaned by your filter on our rig. These are marked A.{Mr Adams} & B. and by the aid of your cleanliness measuring instrument would be pleased to hear your report which you kindly offered to do for us, also an analysis comparison of the oils. We should like to have quotations for the two samples of filters you left with us, in quantities of 200, 500 and 1,000, together with prices of the cleaning elements to us, also retail to customers for replacement purposes. The quotations, which we should like as soon as possible, to cover the following specification :- (a) Black stove enamelled finish, two coats and of such quality that it does not peel, chip or come off under conditions of hot oil or petrol. (b) Production and welding on of the support cradle, which drawing we enclose. Similar to the filter this should have a black enamel finish. | ||
