To HEC, L 320 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ru.11/KW.4.2.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Car. Will you please carry out the following work on this car :- (1) Fit up the exhaust system as it was when the car last came into the shop. (2) Adjust the brakes by setting out the toggles, or any other means, so that the clearance is reduced. At the present moment the pedal comes on the boards before there is sufficient braking. (3) Arrange the petrol pump fixing so that the pump can easily be removed and replaced. The original pump has been on the car since it first went on the road and has never been satisfactory, but we have been unable to remove it. (4) The clutch is very sweet in operation but does not free. We should like to obtain more pedal travel if this is possible to the extent of at least 1", even if this means cutting away the floorboards to enable the pedal to come further back. At the same time will you please put in hand a single plate with .015" set only on it. This will prove the clutch's chance of freeing. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ru. | ||
