We therefore conclude that the co-efficent of friction and rate of wear of the MR.3 linings has become greater on the offside front than the nearside front. This we attribute to the use of too much front braking over-heating the linings unduly.

Since fitting the cast iron front brake drums, we have had no brake squeaks, so think that the MR.3 should be given a further trial with the present reduced amount of front braking (which still appears to be as much or more than standard). If you agree will you please send a set of front brake shoes lined with MR.3 per Air Mail, as the present liners will soon be worn out.

It has not yet been necessary to take up any adjustment on the Girling rear brakes.
