X80240 X8940 10,000 MILES TEST ON EAC. 'V' SERIES. R.{Sir Henry Royce} in his recent memos. has suggested further modifications to the pistons for the EAC. So far, there has not been time to receive any designs. In the meantime we are proposing completing 93-NK car according to the specification agreed to at the Conference at Derby and set out in CJ1/M13.3.25. We have received modified die-cast pistons made according to our latest instructions left by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Sets of these pistons are now practically machined. We recommend that whatever is decided as regards pistons, we should still start 93-NK car off on a 10,000 miles test because there are a number of new features on that car compared with 98-NK car which is now running in France.
