Dear Sirs, Claim No.5371 - Mercedes Car No.R.337 X407 With reference to this matter we shall be pleased if you will inform us whether the driver - Mr.H. Ambrose Ward - is likely to be in London during the course of this week. If not, is it possible for him to call at our Birmingham Office - 19, Newhall Street - in order that a full statement can be taken from him in connection with the accident. We may say that we have been endeavouring to recover the cost of the necessary repairs, but the other side have denied all liability; therefore, it is necessary to have a statement from your driver before we take any further steps.
