BIRMINGHAM.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Milner, Esq.

POROUS BODY FILTER.

We have carried out some tests on this filter and the main trouble that we have so far come across is the fact that the material of which the body is made disintegrates so easily that when it is tightened up or slacked off for cleaning purposes, a certain quantity of grit is dislodged which finds its way into the jets.

Is it possible to reduce the effect of this trouble?.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
