Bentley Frame Tests.

We want to try the relative merits of boxing in the side member, and the Daimler type of cross bracing. We send you a sketch of the latter marked up on blue print FB.62.

Will you therefore please obtain two side members and to one of them add cross bracing as shown, and to the second, box in the side member for the whole of its length. We shall then test these in bending in both directions and in torsion.

If any old side members are available, they would be quite suitable for the experiment.
