Messrs. Wilmot Breeden Ltd.,
Eastern Works,
Camden Street,
Birmingham 1.

Dear Mr. Spicer,

We agree to delivery of Bentley Type A Stabilisers subject to the following alterations in comparison with the five that you supplied to us recently.

(1) Clamping Bracket - Number Plate Support.

Unfortunately on our Drawing No. FB.1722 which we supplied to you, there was an incorrect dimension. We enclose a correct drawing and the dimension 1.850 underlined is the one concerned. This was previously 1.750. The castings should be cleaner around the inner groove and we suggest that they should be die castings.

(2) Special Silent Blocs to our Drwgs. FB.1814 & FB.1815 enclosed.

The rectangular spigot which fits the dumb irons of the car should be 0.050-10 deep. In the case of the five supplied this was at least 0.100.

We do not approve of the spring washers supplied for the 1-B-A and 3-B-A bolts on the Number Plate attachment. The writer will be coming to Birmingham to see you shortly and will then explain the reasons for this objection and our requirements.

Concerning the number of Type A Stabilisers that will be required, we cannot give exact figures, but estimate that it will be of the order of 250.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
