RE: 20/25 H.P. CHASSIS.

Vibration Period in Transmission.

With reference to the above, the spring drive for the clutch as applied to the Bentley Car has now been standardized and is being embodied on future production. We also understand that six sets of this material have been produced for applying to customers cars in case of complaint.

The point we are concerned about however, is that this trouble exists on occasional new chassis we are turning out from the Works and our experience has been, that if this trouble takes place at all it usually developes after running about 1,000 miles. In any case however, does the effect get better.

We think therefore, that we are not being quite fair to ourselves in allowing this fault to go through when a chassis is delivered, when we have a known cure, and we shall be glad if you will instruct the new sets of parts to be made up in advance of the new production and also instruct for these parts to be used and fixed on new chassis car orders going through our hands on which this feature is effected too.
