Lightened Type Speedometer for R-R.{Sir Henry Royce}
This matter seems involved with two others, namely, larger trip figures and a different method of illumination.
I think that because of this there is likely to be an excessive amount of delay due to having to get all three features approved for production. There is likely I should say to be more delay over the illumination question than over the other two items, and it seems a pity to have to hold up the whole issue because of them.
The lighter instruments with the larger trip figures would be welcome of course even now and probably could have been put into production now had it not been for the illumination question.
However, this note is just to ask you what the real position is with all three features, so that if there is likely to be any excessive delay with any one it might be agreed to go ahead with the other two.
