To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X5250 ROY{Sir Henry Royce}2/MG26.1.31. X.7250. X.5250. Radiator Tubes. Hitherto Springfield have used .005" Radiator Tubes in Copper, and we .007" in Brass. Investigation is now proceeding with such extruded Copper Tubes. Meantime as it is evident we shall be buying further bulk supplies of Brass Tubes for both 25 HP. and 40/50 HP. Chassis(Production and Repair) should be safe in specifying same .006". and so save both weight and money? This, apparently, would be a safe procedure; based on the excellent reports given by Springfield of the .005" Tubes - confirmed by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
