| To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} γ 214 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MJ.1.1.35. BENTLEY CONNECTING ROD BOLTS. Another engine has been smashed up due to the failure of these bolts. They have apparently a life of about 100 Hrs. at 4000 RPM. If they are fitted once or twice they get stretched and their life is reduced to less than this. We think that we should at once go to a stronger bolt on Production and would be glad if you would look into the matter. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
