X967 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Wcr. -------------- ROY{Sir Henry Royce}10/MG13.2.33 -------------- Arising out of certain negotiations proceeding covering our Requirements of Lubricants for R.R.Chassis for 1933, Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} writes: "Dealing with the Bensport and the last paragraph "of your letter, I have not decided to standardise "Vacuum Oil for this car and have reminded Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that all "I have said on the subject was that I should like to "follow the same procedure as the Bentley Company used "to follow and recommend several oils as distinct from "what RR have done for so many years of only recommending "two. "Mobiloil, i.e. Vacuum, was one of the oils they "recommended and as they have been pressing for many "years to try to get in with the RR business, I wanted "to give them a chance on the Bensport but not necessarily "as the sole recommended oil." In the circumstances might I suggest we arrange to test out Price's Motorine de Luxe on Bensport. You had details of its characteristics in ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG30.1.33. If in agreement, how many gallons would you like? ROY{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
