We have taken the weights of a pair of Gleason
Bevels and compared them with the weights of a pair of Standard
Straight Bevels. The results are as follows:-

GLEASON.
Bevel Wheel - 13 lb. 15 Ozs. } Total per pair.
Bevel Pinion - 4 lbs. 7 Ozs. } 18 lbs. 6 Ozs.

STANDARD STRAIGHT BEVELS.
Bevel Wheel - 13 lbs. } Total per pair
Bevel Pinion - 4 lbs. 12ozs) 17 lbs. 12 ozs.

Difference between both pairs 10 Ozs.
