406 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}8/JH.23.6.38. S.B.V. Bentley III. SCD.698. Armstrong shock adsorber used as front brake dashpot. This scheme has been instructed in By/ALD.{F. Allwood - Experimental Design}15/G.10.6.38. Will you please incorporate it in the specification for 8.B.V. and drill the frame accordingly. Will you please urge the levers EXS.795 as it will be necessary to send them to the shock absorber manufacturers. A scheme FCB.762 for strengthened front equalizer and extra brackets for front idler levers will be issued shortly. Will you please incorporate this in the specification for 8.B.V. and prepare parts for 7.B.V. and 1.B.50. to be fitted at the earliest opportunity as the existing parts are known to be weak. A new spring for the servo motor EXS.825/6 will be required. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} is dealing with supplies. Will you please see that no servos of the new type PD.138 are built up without this spring incorporated. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
