84516. Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}3/MA. December 10th., 1932. John Marston Ltd., Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr. Dalrymple. Dear Sirs, We are returning to you two of the three 20/25 HP. car radiators to which you fitted special rectangular matrix blocks for test, earlier on this year. We would like you to remove the centres and fit up the shells with complete Marston Mark III copper matrix blocks of 2.750 thickness. You may recollect having fitted up one of this type which we tested on our chassis bumping test. These two should be fitted up in exactly the same manner, the existing starting handle tunnels should be used. You will receive our official order for this work. We are enclosing a print of our standard 20/25 HP. car radiator general arrangement drawing which may be of assistance to you. In addition will you kindly give us a quotation for supplying matrix blocks of this type built up and ready to fit into our shells in quantities of 50, 100 and 200. We assume that the blocks should be delivered to our works where they will be fitted to the shells. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
