For the attention of Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Williams.

Dear Sirs,

We have received the two fan belts No. 447 mentioned in your letter of the 11th instant, for which we thank you. We presume that you have recommended a twin belt arrangement in view of a single belt being unsatisfactory. We would of course prefer a single belt if it were practicable.

We are manufacturing the necessary pulleys and will then test out this twin belt scheme and acquaint you with the results.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
