REVISED AND LOWERED FRAME - B.111.

Below we give an analysis of the modifications necessitated by the revised lowered frame shewn on FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}32 herewith.

(1). Frame Side Members. entirely new - chief changes are:-
(a) .500 deeper at front.
(b) .500 less deep at centre section, and over
rear axle.
(c) Level top 1.500 lower.
(d) Rear boxed in between 1st. and 2nd crossmember.

(2). Frame Cross - entirely new - chief changes are :-
(a) 8.000 deep channels at cross centre.
(b) Elevation of cross changed, but plan
only changed by the increased radius
at the centre.

(3). 2nd. Crossmember - reduced in depth.

(4). 1st. Crossmember - altered only for raised springs when used.

(5). Battery Crossmember - Modified shape of fixing plates at ends.

(6). Front Suspension Pan -
As projected by Scott & Leslie, except
for position of the outward sweep of the
frame, and flatter face on inner vertical
wall of pan.

(7). Front Suspension.
(a) Revised upper triangle lever bearing casting.
(b) Revised spherical bearing housing for torque
arm.

(8). Body Brackets.
(a) Those on centre portion of frame lowered
1.500.
(b) Bracket forard of rear axle moved back and up.
(c) Two brackets to the rear of the axle altered
only, due to the boxing in of the section of
the frame.

(9). Step Irons.
Position relative to the road unaltered.
