| S/W. PRIVATE. x261 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Lp.{Mr Lappin} [Handwritten initials] Dear Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, Fraser Nash was on the telephone this morning. As you may know he has a 4¼-litre Bentley car, the performance of which gives him much pleasure. He has had a complete failure of petrol pumps and I understand has been running on Discol because the car pinks very badly on Ethyl up to 60. He has also had a failure of the distributor rotor and mentions that the slow running is very lumpy, would like a little less caster in the steering and stiffer springs in the side tube, etc., I recall that you wanted me to run on Discol after fitting a special pump and the next time I am at the Works <s>I</s> would like the opportunity of doing this job. In addition it would be appreciated if you could do the brake judder mod. at the same time. [Handwritten note pointing to 'I would': YOU MIGHT.] Lp.{Mr Lappin} | ||
