Testing four new aluminium die-cast Autovac covers to replace existing brass ones due to concerns over screw thread durability.

We send you herewith four Autovac covers that have been made as aluminium die castings in place of brass at present being supplied.

The Autovac people are not absolutely satisfied with this part being produced in aluminium as they are afraid the screw threads will not stand up and they have asked us to make a thorough test of the parts and let them have our report.

Will you please arrange for these to be fitted and let us have your report in due course.
