The Leyland Motor Co.Ltd.,
Leyland,
Lancs.

For the attention of Mr. Spurrier.

Dear Sirs,

We understand from Mr. Hives, who recently visited your Works, that though in the past you have made extensive use of magnesium, recently you have been using less of this material owing to the question of cost.

We ourselves are at the moment contemplating using magnesium more extensively on cars, and it would be of great value to us if we could obtain your service information on this material, and also any data on manufacturing difficulties which you encountered.

Would it be possible to arrange a date when the undersigned could discuss the matter with one of your technical officials ?

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
