27) LIGHTENED ROAD SPRINGS
The thick leaf road springs do not give the same steadiness and comfort of riding, as the heavier thin leaf springs. The car pitches and buffers were hit frequently both rear and front. This is due to loss of friction in the springs with the fewer leaves. To obtain the same degree of steadiness and riding qualities, the damper loads had to be increased 100%.
The selectiveness and stability of the steering also suffered with the thick leaf springs, until the damper loads were increased. No fracture of spring leaves has taken place.

28) SHEET METAL FLOOR BOARDS.
With the exception of the method of fastening the floor-boards, no trouble has been experienced with them.

29) SIMPLIFIED PETROL SYSTEM WITH GREEN WARNING LIGHT FOR RESERVE.
The system has operated satisfactorily.

30) ONE PIECE WINGS & RUNNING BOARDS IN ALUMINUM.
A new scheme for fastening the wings to the Chassis frame will have to be devised. With the present method of fastening the wings close to the dashboard has caused the wings to crack where they are attached.
This is chiefly due to the centrally mounting. The wings do not flap and ride very steady.

ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SPECIFICATION

31) CANTILEVER CONTROLS TO THROTTLE.
The jet control lever on the steering quadrant has to be set approximately one notch free, or otherwise the movement of the engine pulls it over strong. The Cantilever suspension has given no trouble. A final design is necessary.

32) LIGHTENED TYPE TORQUE REACTION DAMPER
One damper does not eliminate the pulsations as good as two, and the load has to be 9 lbs. instead of 2 lbs. on each. The one fitted does not show any deterioration and is retaining its load.

33) ENGINE SIDE GUARDS WITHOUT LOUVERS.
The guards without louvers are an improvement in so much as at this mileage, there are no cracks. There is practically no difference with regard to cleanliness of the engine, in wet weather. There has been no appreciable difference in under bonnet temperatures.
