r6066. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.15.6.35. LUCAS WIND TONE HORNS. We agree with you that it would have been an admirable opportunity for testing our these horns on SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3 but we are afraid there was not time in view of the fact that no scheme was issued by the Design Office, for these horns to be fitted to this chassis in time for the test. It may be possible as you suggest at a later date to get these horns fitted to this chassis. As you know we have a pair of horns on hand being fitted to 21.G.IV for 10,000 miles test, in order to standardise these if they are satisfactory for the 20/25 chassis.
