RE. EXPERIMENTAL COMMITTEE. X.1775.

It has been decided by Mr. Royce and myself that it might facilitate and improve the research work if it were under the control of a small research committee.

This committee would have to settle the order of importance, and see that who-ever is responsible for the experiments has the necessary instructions both technically and commercially, and the necessary materials.

To avoid overworking the production staff it has been decided that RG{Mr Rowledge}, HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}, HSC and EFC. shall constitute the committee.

Some points the committee will be asked to comment upon are :-

(1) Is the experiment likely to bear immediate beneficial results, and not likely to crowd out others of a more practical nature.

(2) Is the method the best that can be suggested and is it likely to give correct answers, that is, is it likely to give xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx misleading results owing to imperfection of the equipment, etc.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}

Note: It is understood that Mr. Royce considers the following experiments of first importance in the order names :-
New suspension of the engine.
4 wheel brakes.
Prevention of heat annoying driver.
