To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x60 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KW.22.3.35. Lp{Mr Lappin}'s Car - Lead Bronze Bearings. We find that we have white metal big end bearings in B-7 unit. We think that in this case we are missing a good opportunity of getting a large number of miles done on lead bronze, and should like you to prepare a set of bearings, such as we are proposing to standardise, for this car. We think this is a matter of urgency in view of the controversy as to whether or not the larger big end clearance causes the engine to be rough.
