EFC X 5661 Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}/McM9/T25.4.27 re 20-HP. Dynamo Armature with 28 slots. In reply to your EFC2/T23.4.27. The report on the 3 Dynamos referred to are as follows:- 1st. Dynamo No.161. This machine was tested on 4 different chassis, and each chassis was run approx. 50 miles. The dynamo was very good indeed for silence. 2nd Dynamo No.1143. This dynamo was road tested on a chassis, and was quite a passable job for noise. 3rd Dynamo G.5.T. This dynamo was originally turned down for noise, and then had a 28 slot armature fitted, it was road tested and passed as a good job, remaining on Chassis GAJ-7.
