TEMPERATURE TEST ON HEIMANOL ENCASED TALL
COILS NOS. TR{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}1 and TR{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}3.

Both of the above coils have been heated in our electrically heated oven at temperatures of 85° and 100°C respectively, and the sparking characteristics observed under the same conditions as the previous tests reported in WA.{Mr Wallis}60.

The results are as follows :-

Coil. Volts. Max. regular sparking gap.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}1 12 6.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}1. 8 5.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}3. 12 6.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}3. 8 6.0 mm.
Temperature of oven 84°C.

TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}1 12 6.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}1. 8 4.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}3. 12 6.5 mm.
TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}3. 8 5.5 mm.
Temperature of oven 100°c.

It will be seen from the above results compared with previous results that the condition and sparking capabilities of these coils at high temper-atures has not appreciably altered.
