Date 25.10.26 X No. 7425 Drawing No. G.73971, G.73963 Part List N.Sch.2054 A Scrap and replace at all costs including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. Description of Parts. SPRING LOADED CROSS STEERING TUBE BALL ENDS. Origin. To provide cross steering tube ends that will not require adjustment, and to reduce road shocks. Experimental Test Report. Using the strongest spring given by WW. an appreciable amount of friction is gained in the steering. We believe considerably more damping would be beneficial with the new axle. Road Test Report. Run 10,000 miles on 12-EX. The initial spring loaded movement was removed as this was found to be better for wobbles. The extra friction improved the steering. Weight of Old Part. Cost of Old Part. £ 2. 5. 0d. Weight of New Part. Cost of New Part. £ 2. 7. 6d. Difference per Car. Difference per Car. £ 2. 6d. increase. Signature from Cost Dept. that above is correct. My/Rb.{R.
