X4221 With reference to the above, we recommend that the best setting for the slipper drive is for 8 springs only to be used, the same strength as now issued, special bolts to be arranged so that these springs can be tightened up choc-o-bloc and then unscrewed a quarter of a turn, at which position they should be split pinned.
