360 LESLIE STEADMAN Lillie Hall to W. RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} copy to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} let me see Re: Capt. Barnato's Ph. lll. 3-AZ-88. - - - - - - - - - - The faulty oil cooler was despatched to you at Derby per passenger train yesterday evening. Fortunately very little water had found its way into the sump the transfer being almost entirely from the oil to the water. This is a reassuring feature. There was a complaint of squeaking from the O.S.F. suspension unit, and it was found that the middle coil of the outer spring was rubbing on the tube which is fixed in the frame. The spring is bowed andm out of line from end to end. As we do not know the limits worked to, a new spring has been fitted and the faulty spring has been returned to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} for inspection. LES.{Ivan A. Leslie} Has this occurred before. IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} Frank Waller. Helen Ru/SMJ | ||
