Description of Parts: MAIN & BIG END BEARING SKIMS MADE IN R.R.56 solid metal.
Origin: Bad adhesion and difficulty in production of facing steel shims with Hall's alloy.
Report of Experimental Test: 10 hours running at 1/4 load each hour comprising 30 mins. at 4000 R.P.M. 25 mins. at 4250 R.P.M. and 5 mins. at 4800 R.P.M. Under this condition we have not run more than 3 hours without the Hall's metal face coming off in the case of standard shims.
