re Future of 40/50 HP Car.

You will remember that in January last you and I had some correspondence relative to the lines along which the big car should be developed, and we came to the conclusion, vide your letter of the 12th January, that a double six with the bore and stroke of the old 20, giving a tax of about £44, i.e. the same as the present P.II., XXXX would be the best.

You said that a considerable amount of design work had been done on the engine in the double 20 HP size with 3" bore and 4½" stroke, and I think E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} at that time sent you a copy of what had been done.

I think that the question of the design for this car should now be considered as the next most important job for the Design Department as soon as they have finished with Bensport, which I gather is practically completed.

I should be glad to hear from you in regard to this.
