R R 755 (6 H) (S R 268, 19-9-21) G 2434 COMPLETED 28.3.23. STANDARDISATION OF CHASSIS PARTS. Description of Parts. ORIGINAL Modification to 20 HP. Rear Axle Casing. Origin. To improve the strength. Experimental Test Report. This modification is the outcome of the failure of the 20 HP. axle casing in Switzerland when the car skidded against a milestone. The axle casing has been slightly increased in thickness and the aluminium cover has been replaced by a steel one spigoted in a similar manner to the 40/50 H.P. Signature of Exp. Dept. that above is correct. E.Hives. Road Test Report. No road tests yet. The design has not been altered except thicker material and different material for the cover. We are anxious that this alteration should come on as soon as possible without scrap. Road tests on Expl: Cars will be completed before any of these axles are delivered. Date 7.3.23.
