Dynamo output, battery charging, and potential failure schemes for a vibrator.

(2) (1) A better output can be taken from the same dynamo, or the same output with less rise of temperature. (2) The lamps would be better fed with current when the battery was low. (3) Greater charging current when battery low. It is a scheme which may fail because of the vibrator contact makers failing, and it may roast the dynamo, but I think I can see that there should be schemes that would reduce the risk of asking the dynamo for too great current, such as compound winding the vibrator, etc. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
