| -2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/KW.22.10.34. (3) Springing and Road Holding Ability. From what you say it would appear that you like a good deal of front shock absorbing. If you do not mind the harsh riding which results from increased setting, it is a very simple modification to alter the loads. (4 & 5) Petrol & Oil Consumption. These are about what we should expect. The oil consumption will certainly increase rather than diminish, therefore I do not think you should worry about this. (6) Float Mechanism in the Sump. If this is not working properly, it can be rectified. (7) Clutch. Here again, if this is not up to our standard we can tackle it when we have the opportunity. (8) Brakes. We have never had any criticisms of the brakes wearing excessively. One of our customers who drives very ferociously has only taken up one tenth of the available adjustment in 17,000 miles. We should therefore be relieved to hear that your fears are not justified. (9) Gearbox & Transmission. I think that the rattle can be dealt with. (10 & 11) Acceleration & General Performance. We can make sure that your car is up to standard when it comes to the Works. (12 & 13) Dashboard Layout etc. & Horns. This is largely a Sales matter. | ||
