Dear Mr.West,

Thanks for your letter of the 23rd.

I am sorry too I missed you at the Show, but it will be quite convenient for you to call here on Thursday or Friday next.

I am not quite sure what you wish to discuss, although I presume horns is one of the subjects and I will arrange for Harris to be here on these days. It would help, however, if you could tell me which day you would arrive and whether morning or afternoon, as otherwise he may be at the Shaftmoor Lane Works.

If there are any other points you particularly want to raise please let me know and I will see that the appropriate engineer is also present.
