R.R. 306. ST.{Capt. P. R. Strong} 74907/4/11/38. C.E. 1204 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT REPORT. REFERENCE:- Lr{Mr Ellor}/HWS/SGL.1/WJ.29.3.39. Subject of Report:- RADIO INTERFERENCE FROM CAR IGNITION SYSTEM. EFFECT OF SUPPRESSOR IN COIL H.T. LEAD. General Conclusion:- Comparative measurements of the interference have been made, working at broadcast and television wavelengths, to show the effect of the suppressor. It appears from the results given, that the interference at both wavelengths is reduced sufficiently and that a suitable value for the suppressor would be 5000 ohms. Lr{Mr Ellor}/HWS/SGL.
