- 2 - we shall immediately have a crop of complaints as a result of this, as Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s experience cannot be ignored in this connection. The only complaints we know of from over-oiling since the vent has been fitted were due to the use of oil to clean out an over-heavy grease, with which the tachometer tube had been filled, the grease in question being so stiff as to in some cases shear the drive before movement could be obtained.
