Specification for a unit for the No. 3 Chassis, with references to modifications from the No. 10 unit.

Specification for Unit for No. 3 Chassis.
Otherwise as No.10 unit now in No.2 Chassis.

Carburetters.
(1) Delete reverse throttle and use the original arrangement.
(2) Retain the top float feed which enables the needles to be removed in case of flooding, LeC.4378.
(3) Assuming the new float pivot position is unaffected by acceleration or braking (to be tested on No.2 chassis) and if satisfactory to be retained.
(4) Retain separate throttle stops and springs LeC.4495 on all 4 carbs.
(5) 26 SWG. floats as in the original carbs. and deleting the stop tabs on the underside of the floats.

Pistons.
To LeC.4617 as finally fitted to No.10 unit.

Oil Temperature Regulator.
Matrix LeC.4386 to be produced by the latest dipping methods.

Push Rods.
Strengthened Dural rods to LeC.4626.

Overoiling.
Possibility of better oil draining from the cylinder head or of isolating the valve springs from operating in oil which stands on the heads.
Oil metering screw for auto. tappets (E.87361) increased from .025 to .031 dia.
Drain hole in the base of the clutch pit and a slotted inspection cover.
Heavier flywheel to be fitted.
