4th September, 1936.

N.F. Stockbridge Esq.,
Messrs. AC-Sphinx Sparking Plug Co.Ltd.,
Dunstable,
Bedfordshire.

Dear Mr. Stockbridge,

I have your letter of the 3rd instant, but regret to say that due to circumstances which are entirely out of our control, we should not agree to test any plugs on our engines requiring the use of different spanners, i.e. with a different size hexagons to the A.M. standard except in most exceptional circumstances.

It has occurred to me that it might be a good idea if I could come down to see you, which I possibly could do next Thursday, the 10th instant.

I shall be in London on the 9th inst. and I could ring you then to confirm final arrangements.

Yours sincerely,
