With reference to HDY{William Hardy}1/M27.3.33. Answering your queries :- (1) As you surmise, we hope to bring the modification to the transfer passage in at a later date. (2) We will carry out a test deleting the steel bushes. (3) We are now looking into this modification. (4) 25 HP. rear dampers. (5) We agree with your remark. (6) The internal coring for strength - we broke a damper across one of the bosses with the two bolt fixing. (7) We can increase the thickness of the rear damper casings, but the 25 HP. and 40/50 HP. are not interchangeable. We have not had any failures since the castings were modified.
