[Handwritten] X.4337 [Typed and underlined] RE. ALEMITE GREASE GUN AND LUBRICATORS. We left at W.W. last Friday a sample Alemite Grease Gun and Lubricator. These were supplied from the U.S.A. The feature in the Alemite is the quick attachment of the grease gun to the lubricator by means of a bayonet joint. The connection makes a grease-tight joint. We have had experience now at the Works with the Alemite Lubricators as these are fitted to the Hupmobile and Dodge Cars. We have also been trying a standard Rotherham Grease gun with the flexible and screw connection to suit our standard lubricators. We find that the time taken to lubricate a car with a grease gun is reduced by two-thirds if we use Alemite Lubricators, instead of the screwed lubricators which are our present standard. We should like to know from Mr. Royce whether he approves of the Alemite Lubricators, if so, we could approach the Rotherham people to see if they can supply an equivalent.
