Ventilation Tests. I have had made a series of tests on 1926 car fitted with totally enclosed Limousine and have detailed results as follows :- In the following results the conditions of the tests were as follows - Car doing 25 miles per hour full load conditions with trailing wind. Water temperature to start was 70° Centigrade and tests were stopped after 10 minutes run, the various temperatures being noted. In the list I have given the floorboard temperature which was taken by means of thermometer being fixed on the bottom side of the loose floorboard. With reference to the temperature inside the body, this was taken by thermometer being attached so that the bulb projected just below the scuttle. I have also made some remarks regarding the condition inside the body during each test. 1. Dashboard not filled in, engine side guards louvred, dashboard ventilators not open, all windows closed. | Floorboards temperature | Body temperature | Water temperature | Time under full power | Air temperature | |---|---|---|---|---| | 50 | 32 | 70 | 10 mins. | 18 | | 64 | 31 | 93.5 | | 18 | Smell from the foot brake. | ||
