c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} 804 7th.November 1938. BY.31/N. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Confidential. Dear Sirs, Re: Finish of 2.B.50. We have been asked to reply to your letter addressed to Mr.Robotham re the finish of 2.B.50. He has decided that he would like to preserve the dark green colour scheme of the Wraith which he saw for 3.B.50 because that is a body of better design. We have decided to paint 2.B.50 in two shades of brown, which were used on 27.G.VI. and we believe were Willey's Auto Brown-Medium. The wings and mouldings would be the darker brown, whilst the body, bonnet and wheels would be the lighter. The leather should be the equivalent of furniture hide in a waterproof leather with a fawn headcloth and brown carpet. When Mr.Evernden calls on you on Thursday next you would possibly like to shew him patterns. We will use the green leather you have in stock for this car on one of the subsequent bodies for the B.5. type chassis, possibly 10.B.5. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
