With reference to R1/M5.4.29. reporting on low speed wobbles on the 20 HP. car. We do not think that this should be regarded as a frequent trouble with the 20 HP. car. Experimentally, since we fitted the spring loaded cross steering tube we have had no cases of low speed wobble on 20 HP. cars. We also learn from the Test Dept. that they have never experienced a case since they fitted the spring loaded cross steering tube. It is conceivable, with the centrepoint lubrication, that we have lost an appreciable percentage of our friction at this point. It will be remembered that on the S.S. we have increased the diameter of the balls. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
