Dear Sirs, We are sending you six moving coil instruments for test purposes, but we realise that the exterior finish is not entirely satisfactory, and we do not wish you to regard this as being the finish we should supply for these instruments on a quantity basis. Also the position of the arc is not entirely satisfactory, and this is due to the fact that we did not wish to go to too much expense upon these scales for preliminary examples for test purposes only. We trust you will not be unduly critical of small points of this nature in these first experimental instruments, but we believe you will be entirely satisfied with the electrical performance of the instruments under your most severe service conditions. We shall be quite prepared to make several improvements and naturally we should welcome your comments on these. We trust you will accept our apologies for the delay incurred in sending you these, and we are arranging to send you a few more during next week, so that you can secure a representative test.
